El llegat simbólic de Barcelona 1992, vint-i-cinc anys després

Miquel de Moragas Spà

2017

Miquel de Moragas Spà, emeritus professor at the UAB and founder of the Center for Olympic and Sports Studies at the UAB, reflects, with twenty-five years of perspective, on an individual aspect of the legacy of Barcelona’92, Its symbolic legacy: ideas, icons, contents, states of opinion, which end up building the memory of the event. It analyzes both the tangible legacy (urbanism, facilities), as the intangible legacy (image, interpretations, memory), to establish that, in fact, legacy is the result of a set of interferences. And Barcelona’92 has a metaphor that explains: “Open the city to the sea.”
