International Symposium on “The legacy of the 1984-2000 Olympic Games” (2002)
The V International Symposium on “The legacy of the 1984-2000 Olympic Games” was held from 14 to 16 of November 2002 at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne. This Symposium was the fifth organized by the Chair International of Olympism in collaboration with the Olympic Studies Centre of the Olympic Museum of Lausanne.
The objectives of the Symposium focused on exploring the various aspects of the legacy of the Olympic Games, both as host city impact or in the Movement Olympic global context, from various perspectives: historical, urban, environmental, economic and tourist, political, cultural, social, communicative, educational and organizational.
About 150 representatives of host cities, future candidate cities, experts and Olympic Family members participated.
