Bruce Kidd

International Chair in Olympism. Invited professor 1996

Director of the School of Physical Education and Health at the University of Toronto (Canada). Prof. Kidd specialises in sports economics, sociology and physical education.

Dr. Kidd was appointed as professor of the International Chair in Olympism in 1996. During his stay at the During his stay at the CEO-UAB, Prof. Kidd work focused on aspects relating to the athlete and the Olympic Movement in the XX Century. The programme of activities included: various university conferences and seminars on the athlete and the Olympic Games; a paper given at the international symposium on olympic villages held in Lausanne in 1996; and the co-edition of the conference proceedings entitled Olympic Villages: hundred years of urban planning and shared experiences.
