Social research and photographic work generated elements for reflection, debate and cooperation between different actors, as well as materials that allowed promoting and sharing identified initiatives through workshops and debate activities.
Immigrant Women and Sport Round Table

Activity organized by the Barcelona Sports Institute and CEO-UAB as part of the educational program Espai Aula of the exhibition Sport and Construction of Citizenship (Olympic Museum of Barcelona, from January 17 to March 31, 2008). It aimed to offer a meeting point for debate between the administration, associations and university on the habits and barriers that condition the sport practice by immigrant women. Participants included: Maria Jose Bilbao, Gender Cabinet at the Catalan Council of Sport; Itxasne Sagarzazu, social researcher; Patricia Tastaca, member of the Association of Bolivian Cruces of Catalonia; and a representative of the Association of Muslim Women El Farah. Multicultural Sport Workshop

Activity organized by the Barcelona Sports Institute and CEO-UAB as part of the educational program Espai Aula of the exhibition Sport and Construction of Citizenship (Olympic Museum of Barcelona, from January 17 to March 31, 2008). The aim of the activity was to inform students about two new sports modalities that can be practiced in the city and that reach foreign population: Gaelic sports and the cricket. It was attended by 100 children from two schools in the city of Barcelona. The activity was supported by Gaelics Barcelona, LaSalle Universities International Program and the Ciutat Vella Sports Association
Sports and Immigration Conference

Activity organized by the Barcelona Sports Institute and CEO-UAB as part of the educational program Espai Aula of the exhibition Sport and Construction of Citizenship (Olympic Museum of Barcelona, from January 17 to March 31, 2008). The day was structured in an inaugural session followed by an inaugural conference on multiculturalism and the White Paper on sport. This was followed by a roundtable on interculturality in sports policies in Catalonia. The afternoon sessions included a first session with the contributions of the participatory sessions related to interculturality carried out within the framework of the exhibition, followed by experiences of promotion of multicultural sports practice.
